A movement of like-minded individuals and organisations who work together to champion change for a better future of fishing & maritime industry workers.
The main purpose of the Union is to exercise and protect the rights and freedoms of Union members, to meet public, including economic, social, cultural and other interests:
✔ promoting, informing and supporting all people of the sea: current, future or former seafarers and their families, fishermen, seamen or other employees of the maritime and sea-related industries, including military and navy veterans;
✔ increasing their welfare, investing in maritime industries and creating new jobs;
✔ funding for small and medium-sized maritime businesses;
✔ funding for small and medium-sized businesses owned by current or former seafarers;
✔ creating access for Union members and members of their families to educational and financial resources.
Any interested individual may join the Union to support its international work and take advantage of the professional opportunities its worldwide network offers.

During COVID-19 lockdown period ports and vessels still working but all crews locked on a ships because of quarantine. Seamen of the merchant fleet, while mooring at the anchorage area or in the port, need high-quality Internet service. They want to make a good quality video call to their family. They want access to their email, and chat services such as Viber, Messenger, Signal, Skype, WhatsApp etc. They want access to their financial services, online banking, credit cards, etc.
Seamen contribute a very important role in food and medicine supply chain so we ask you to give a small donation that can support* a random seafarer, or your relative, or a friend of yours (in case if he is a seaman), or individual specified in a payment form. Random seafarer support* (working like "hanging coffee" in a coffee shop) with free SEA GATE Wi-Fi Internet HUB access for 24 hour period for the first in the list of registered and active seafarer's accounts.
